Lettered central districts matter
EC, WC, W1 and SW1 postcodes use lettered outward codes such as EC2R, WC1B and SW1A. Our checker uses a complete postcode rather than rejecting an address because it has this format. Some postal codes identify organisations or delivery arrangements; the actual property address is still needed for an engineer visit.
Access to flats and managed properties
If the kitchen is in a flat or managed building, include the flat number, entry arrangement, lift availability and any booking requirements for visiting contractors. Tell us who will meet the engineer. Do not assume a concierge can provide access or approve charges without making arrangements.
Plan replacement installations around the property
For built-in ovens, dishwashers or refrigeration, send cabinet measurements and the old and new model details. Explain any restricted delivery route or building access window. Fitting, old-appliance removal and any additional electrical or plumbing work require an agreed scope; an online request does not reserve an arrival time.
