INDEPENDENT LG REPAIR ENQUIRIES

LG dishwasher repairs in London & Surrey

A dishwasher with clean but wet plates presents a different problem from one that leaves food on a single rack or stops with water inside. For LG, names such as QuadWash and EasyRack describe features rather than the full appliance identity. Use the model and the actual wash outcome to prepare an independent repair enquiry.

Samsung and LG call-outs from £90 plus parts; Central London from £120 plus parts.

For Samsung and LG, fixed call-out charges start from £90 outside Central London and from £120 for a Central London service address. Parts are priced separately. The applicable amount depends on the appliance, complete model and fitting type, including freestanding or integrated. Our office confirms the address and fixed charge by phone before arranging the visit. These starting amounts are not an all-inclusive repair price.

What is included, and what costs extra?

The agreed charge covers the first visit, repair labour and any return visit needed to fit parts for the same agreed repair. There is no extra labour or repeat call-out charge for that repair.

Parts are priced separately and approved before fitting. A different fault, another appliance, installation, removal or alterations require a separately agreed scope and quote.

Describe the fault, not a guessed part

Send the complete model reference, any displayed code, fitting type and full postcode. Include any suffix on the model label where shown. Only photograph a safely accessible label; do not remove covers or move a heavy machine.

Read the written summary

A written overview of the symptoms and next step, not a word-for-word transcript.

Poor washing, standing water, a stopped cycle and a leak are observations, not a diagnosis. Filling, circulation, heating, drainage and control arrangements vary by model, and the source of a leak may not be immediately visible.

Tell us the model, exact displayed message and symptoms. Stop using a dishwasher that leaks, smokes, smells burnt or trips the electrics, and leave internal inspection to a suitably competent engineer.

One rack, both racks or a selected wash zone

On models such as DF355FP, LG lists QuadWash, adjustable loading and a Dual Zone option with different washing intensity between racks. If cleaning results have changed, identify the affected rack, selected options and whether loading arrangements changed. Do not assume all LG models have that option or that one dirty rack proves a failed circulation motor. A photo of the finished load can be useful if you already have one; no extra fault-producing cycle is needed.

Auto Open drying versus a door fault

The UK DB273TX product guidance includes Auto Open Dry, which opens the door as part of drying. For a machine fitted with this feature, distinguish intended end-of-cycle opening from a door that will not latch before washing. Tell us whether the cycle completed and whether wet results concern plastics, all dishes or standing water. Follow the model's settings guidance; do not force the door mechanism or remove a furniture panel to investigate.

A stopped programme needs its own fault description

Copy any code exactly and say whether the problem appeared during filling, washing or emptying. Include water left in the cabinet, foaming, a leak or recent sink-waste work. Filter care, salt and rinse-aid settings can matter to wash results, but they do not explain every cancellation. Follow only the routine care in the correct handbook. Keep a leaking or electrically tripping dishwasher unused and do not remove pump or base covers as booking preparation.

Safe checks and deciding your next step

For checks that do not involve dismantling the appliance, read the dishwasher safety guidance. If you are weighing up a repair and a replacement, see what affects that decision. Your exact model handbook takes precedence over general guidance.

Details to include with this request

  • Complete LG dishwasher model and freestanding or integrated installation.
  • Affected rack, chosen programme and zone or drying options if fitted.
  • Normal cycle end or cancellation, exact code and any standing water.
  • Door behaviour, recent waste work, furniture panel and safe access.

Identify the exact LG model

Use the full LG model and suffix from accessible paperwork or the rating label. Product-family and feature names alone do not identify the appliance. LG UK product support and model finder

Copy the complete reference as printed, including any suffix. Use an accessible label or your appliance paperwork; leave built-in units, electrical covers and heavy appliances in place. If the label cannot be reached safely, explain this when you contact us.

For the manufacturer’s explanation of the feature discussed here, see LG UK DB273TX: Auto Open Dry and integrated fitting.

If you are considering a replacement

For an integrated replacement, identify the proposed dishwasher and existing furniture front before arranging fitting. Panel movement, plinth clearance, connections and removal need checking; a full-size designation alone does not establish compatibility.

LG dishwasher repair questions

Why mention the rack and Dual Zone setting?

Some LG models allow different wash intensity in the two baskets. That setting and the load's position help describe a poor result accurately; they are not evidence that every model has the feature or that a part has failed.

Should an LG dishwasher door ever open by itself?

On a model equipped with Auto Open Dry it can be part of the drying process. A door that fails to latch, opens unexpectedly during washing or has damaged fittings is a separate concern to report with the full model.

What details help with a LG dishwasher repair enquiry?

Explain whether water remains after a programme, cleaning is poor, the machine will not fill or a leak is visible. Tell us whether it is integrated, freestanding or slimline; do not remove the plinth or tilt the appliance to investigate a code.
