INDEPENDENT AEG REPAIR ENQUIRIES

AEG electric & induction hob repairs | M25, Surrey, DA & RM

An AEG induction hob's F indication needs cookware and zone context. Identify induction, ceramic or gas technology and provide the PNC; the same display letter on a cooker hood has a different meaning.

Central London freestanding call-out £90; integrated from £120; other areas from £75. Parts extra.

For a Central London service address, the standard freestanding call-out is £90 plus parts. Integrated appliances of any brand start from £120 plus parts in Central London. Outside Central London, fixed call-out charges start from £75, depending on your appliance's make and model and whether it is freestanding, integrated or another appliance type. Our office confirms the service address and applicable amount by phone before arranging your visit.

What is included, and what costs extra?

The agreed charge covers the first visit, repair labour and any return visit needed to fit parts for the same agreed repair. There is no extra labour or repeat call-out charge for that repair.

Parts are priced separately and approved before fitting. A different fault, another appliance, installation, removal or alterations require a separately agreed scope and quote.

Describe the fault, not a guessed part

Send the complete model reference, any displayed code, fitting type and full postcode. Include any suffix on the model label where shown. Only photograph a safely accessible label; do not remove covers or move a heavy machine.

Cookware detection before a parts diagnosis

AEG says F generally indicates cookware not registered or removed on induction models. Include the pan type and zone used during ordinary cooking. Persistent trouble needs assessment of the actual model. Do not repeat a faulty test, bypass controls or order a board solely from the indication.

Cracked glass and electrical trips

Describe one zone versus total control loss and the full message already displayed. Cracked glass, burning smell or repeated supply tripping are reasons to leave the hob unused. Do not lift it from the worktop, open connections or repeatedly reset the supply to gather evidence.

Replacement aperture and technology

Supply old/new references and worktop measurements already available. Nominal width does not establish cut-out, ventilation or electrical compatibility. Installation is assessed separately. A gas hob requires separate confirmed eligibility; the induction guidance does not extend to gas ignition or connection work.

Safe checks and deciding your next step

For checks that do not involve dismantling the appliance, read the electric & induction hob safety guidance. If you are weighing up a repair and a replacement, see what affects that decision. Your exact model handbook takes precedence over general guidance.

Details to include with this request

  • Model, PNC and heating technology.
  • Zone, full indication and cookware previously used.
  • Glass damage or electrical trip history.
  • Old/new product references and existing opening.

Identify the exact AEG model

AEG manuals use the model or product number/PNC to identify the product version. Copy these from safely accessible documents or a label; a feature name alone is not a complete product reference. AEG UK model and PNC manual finder

Copy the complete reference as printed, including any suffix. Use an accessible label or your appliance paperwork; leave built-in units, electrical covers and heavy appliances in place. If the label cannot be reached safely, explain this when you contact us.

For the manufacturer’s explanation of the feature discussed here, see AEG UK appliance support.

If you are considering a replacement

Provide the replacement model, worktop material and existing opening dimensions if known. Mention an oven or drawers beneath it and any planned worktop or electrical changes.

AEG electric & induction hob repair questions

Does F mean the same thing on an AEG hood and hob?

No. AEG's induction-hob guidance concerns cookware detection, while its hood guidance discusses filter reminders. Use the appliance-specific source and model.

What details help with a AEG hob repair enquiry?

Report the affected zone, displayed symbols and whether different suitable pans behave differently. Tell us the fuel or hob type so the office can confirm suitability; do not attempt internal electrical or gas work.

Local repair visits: M25, Surrey, DA and RM

Our service territory includes addresses inside the M25, all Surrey and every DA and RM postcode, including DA and RM addresses outside the motorway. Coverage is not a promise of an immediate appointment: the office confirms the model, required work and visit arrangements.

Send the full address, appliance details and best visit contact. UKCDA checks the enquiry, explains the applicable charges and confirms an appointment with you. Parts availability and further work are assessed for the individual appliance. The request form does not take payment or reserve a visit.

AEG hob E8: supply or electronics

Model check: Induction/ceramic hob article; new installation versus later fault differs.

For AEG induction or ceramic hobs covered by this article, E8 or E822 can relate to the supply connection after installation, or to electronics after previous normal operation. Confirm the exact model and full code. Do not inspect wiring or reconnect the hob yourself. Leave it unused and contact the installer or an appliance engineer with the installation history.

AEG induction hob E3: installation assessment

Model check: AEG UK induction-hob and induction-cooker installation guidance; not a universal diagnosis for previously working models.

AEG lists E3, E311 and E312 among symptoms associated with induction-hob installation or electrical-supply problems. The timing matters: tell us whether the hob is newly fitted or has been moved. A qualified installer should assess the connection; do not attempt internal electrical alterations.

Leave electrical covers and fitted components in place. Stop using an appliance that leaks, overheats, smells burnt or trips the electrics. UKCDA is independent; check any manufacturer guarantee before arranging a paid visit.
