Fan and light observations
Record the speeds that work, whether lighting responds and when the change began. Poor extraction, a new noise and total loss of control are separate reports. Do not reach into the fan or keep operating after a burning smell. A working lamp cannot establish that the fan or airflow is correct.
Filter care and ventilation history
Use the model/product-code handbook for permitted accessible filter care. Explain recent cabinet or duct work and ordinary care already done, without removing concealed ducts or dismantling the motor. Do not assume every recirculation filter can be washed or apply another control panel's reminder reset.
Height and mounting access
Send product paperwork if the label is high or inaccessible. Do not stand on the cooker to photograph it. State wall, canopy, integrated or island fitting and approximate accessible height. Replacement scope needs mounting and ventilation compatibility checked; it is not settled by width or appearance alone.
Safe checks and deciding your next step
For checks that do not involve dismantling the appliance, read the cooker hood safety guidance. If you are weighing up a repair and a replacement, see what affects that decision. Your exact model handbook takes precedence over general guidance.

Identify the exact Candy model
Candy's handbook finder uses the model or product code. Use the complete reference and the instructions for your appliance; connected features and supported apps depend on its version. Candy UK product manuals
Copy the complete reference as printed, including any suffix. Use an accessible label or your appliance paperwork; leave built-in units, electrical covers and heavy appliances in place. If the label cannot be reached safely, explain this when you contact us.
For the manufacturer’s explanation of the feature discussed here, see Candy UK appliance support.
If you are considering a replacement
Send the new model, mounting style and access height. Say whether the kitchen uses an outside duct or recirculation, and mention any cupboard, mounting or ducting changes you need.

Candy cooker hood repair questions
Does a working hood light prove extraction works?
No. Describe fan speeds and airflow separately. Lighting, fan operation and the ventilation route give different evidence for assessment.
What is included in the fixed repair call-out?
For a Central London service address, the standard freestanding call-out is £90 plus parts. Integrated appliances of any brand start from £120 plus parts in Central London. Outside Central London, fixed call-out charges start from £75, depending on your appliance's make and model and whether it is freestanding, integrated or another appliance type. Our office confirms the service address and applicable amount by phone before arranging your visit. The agreed charge covers the first visit, repair labour and any return visit needed to fit parts for the same agreed repair. There is no extra labour or repeat call-out charge for that repair. Parts are priced separately and approved before fitting.
What details help with a Candy cooker hood repair enquiry?
Distinguish no extraction, reduced airflow, a light fault or controls not responding. Tell us whether air is ducted outside or recirculated. Only undertake user-accessible filter care specified by the model manual.
Local repair visits: M25, Surrey, DA and RM
Our service territory includes addresses inside the M25, all Surrey and every DA and RM postcode, including DA and RM addresses outside the motorway. Coverage is not a promise of an immediate appointment: the office confirms the model, required work and visit arrangements.
Send the full address, appliance details and best visit contact. UKCDA checks the enquiry, explains the applicable charges and confirms an appointment with you. Parts availability and further work are assessed for the individual appliance. The request form does not take payment or reserve a visit.
