INDEPENDENT AEG REPAIR ENQUIRIES

AEG cooker hood repairs | M25, Surrey, DA & RM

A letter on an AEG cooker hood should be read as a hood indication, not interpreted using an induction-hob code list. Describe fan, lighting and extraction separately and identify the ventilation arrangement.

Central London freestanding call-out £90; integrated from £120; other areas from £75. Parts extra.

For a Central London service address, the standard freestanding call-out is £90 plus parts. Integrated appliances of any brand start from £120 plus parts in Central London. Outside Central London, fixed call-out charges start from £75, depending on your appliance's make and model and whether it is freestanding, integrated or another appliance type. Our office confirms the service address and applicable amount by phone before arranging your visit.

What is included, and what costs extra?

The agreed charge covers the first visit, repair labour and any return visit needed to fit parts for the same agreed repair. There is no extra labour or repeat call-out charge for that repair.

Parts are priced separately and approved before fitting. A different fault, another appliance, installation, removal or alterations require a separately agreed scope and quote.

Read the charging terms
Describe the fault, not a guessed part

Send the complete model reference, any displayed code, fitting type and full postcode. Include any suffix on the model label where shown. Only photograph a safely accessible label; do not remove covers or move a heavy machine.

Filter reminders have model-specific care

AEG's hood guidance associates F with grease-filter care and C with carbon-filter care. Whether a carbon filter can be cleaned or must be changed depends on the model. Follow its permitted routine maintenance and reset instructions; do not clear a reminder as a substitute for care or use another control panel's sequence.

Separate fan control and airflow

Tell us which speeds work, whether lights operate and whether manual controls differ from any automatic hob-linked function fitted. Explain an outside duct versus recirculation and recent kitchen work. Poor extraction with a running fan is a different enquiry from a motor that does not start.

High-mounted labels and fitting

Use accessible paperwork for model/PNC if the label is out of reach. Do not climb on the cooker, remove the hood or reach into the fan. Report height and cabinet constraints. A replacement needs its mounting and ventilation reviewed separately; suitability is not promised from appearance alone.

Safe checks and deciding your next step

For checks that do not involve dismantling the appliance, read the cooker hood safety guidance. If you are weighing up a repair and a replacement, see what affects that decision. Your exact model handbook takes precedence over general guidance.

Details to include with this request

  • Model, PNC and hood fitting type.
  • C/F indication and care history if known.
  • Fan speeds, lighting and manual/automatic operation.
  • Duct/recirculation, height and access.

Identify the exact AEG model

AEG manuals use the model or product number/PNC to identify the product version. Copy these from safely accessible documents or a label; a feature name alone is not a complete product reference. AEG UK model and PNC manual finder

Copy the complete reference as printed, including any suffix. Use an accessible label or your appliance paperwork; leave built-in units, electrical covers and heavy appliances in place. If the label cannot be reached safely, explain this when you contact us.

For the manufacturer’s explanation of the feature discussed here, see AEG UK appliance support.

If you are considering a replacement

Send the new model, mounting style and access height. Say whether the kitchen uses an outside duct or recirculation, and mention any cupboard, mounting or ducting changes you need.

AEG cooker hood repair questions

Does F on the hood mean it has an induction fault?

No. AEG identifies a hood filter-care reminder in the relevant guidance. Read the hood manual rather than transferring the hob's meaning.

What is included in the fixed repair call-out?

For a Central London service address, the standard freestanding call-out is £90 plus parts. Integrated appliances of any brand start from £120 plus parts in Central London. Outside Central London, fixed call-out charges start from £75, depending on your appliance's make and model and whether it is freestanding, integrated or another appliance type. What details help with a AEG cooker hood repair enquiry?

Distinguish no extraction, reduced airflow, a light fault or controls not responding. Tell us whether air is ducted outside or recirculated. Only undertake user-accessible filter care specified by the model manual.

AEG cooker hood: F filter reminder

Model check: AEG UK hood F/C guidance; confirm model controls.

On hoods using this indicator, F is a reminder that the metal grease filters need maintenance. It does not by itself diagnose a failed motor. Use the model's filter instructions; persistent extraction problems need separate assessment.

AEG cooker hood: C filter reminder

Model check: AEG UK hood F/C guidance; confirm model controls.

AEG identifies C as an activated-carbon filter maintenance reminder. Cleaning or replacement depends on the model. This reminder alone is not proof of a mechanical fault; send the model if the hood also performs poorly.
