INDEPENDENT AEG REPAIR ENQUIRIES

AEG dishwasher repairs | M25, Surrey, DA & RM

An AEG dishwasher door opening near the drying stage can be normal on an AirDry-equipped model. Separate that behaviour from a door dropping unexpectedly, a wash interruption or water remaining after the programme.

Central London freestanding call-out £90; integrated from £120; other areas from £75. Parts extra.

For a Central London service address, the standard freestanding call-out is £90 plus parts. Integrated appliances of any brand start from £120 plus parts in Central London. Outside Central London, fixed call-out charges start from £75, depending on your appliance's make and model and whether it is freestanding, integrated or another appliance type. Our office confirms the service address and applicable amount by phone before arranging your visit.

What is included, and what costs extra?

The agreed charge covers the first visit, repair labour and any return visit needed to fit parts for the same agreed repair. There is no extra labour or repeat call-out charge for that repair.

Parts are priced separately and approved before fitting. A different fault, another appliance, installation, removal or alterations require a separately agreed scope and quote.

Describe the fault, not a guessed part

Send the complete model reference, any displayed code, fitting type and full postcode. Include any suffix on the model label where shown. Only photograph a safely accessible label; do not remove covers or move a heavy machine.

Dishwasher problems explained

An overview of filling, circulation, heating and draining, with possible fault areas and when professional assessment is needed.

Press play when you are ready. English captions are available in the player controls. Open the video file if playback is unavailable.

A general explanation of possible problems, not a diagnosis or instructions for dismantling your appliance. Illustrative appliance views may differ from your model. This is not a brand-specific error-code guide or a manufacturer's video.

Read the written summary

A written overview of the symptoms and next step, not a word-for-word transcript.

Poor washing, standing water, a stopped cycle and a leak are observations, not a diagnosis. Filling, circulation, heating, drainage and control arrangements vary by model, and the source of a leak may not be immediately visible.

Tell us the model, exact displayed message and symptoms. Stop using a dishwasher that leaks, smokes, smells burnt or trips the electrics, and leave internal inspection to a suitably competent engineer.

Ready to describe the problem? Send the symptoms, full model and postcode. The team confirms suitability, availability and applicable charges.

Check whether AirDry is actually fitted

AEG describes controlled automatic door opening during drying on compatible models. Include the PNC, programme and stage when the door opened. Do not assume every AEG dishwasher has AirDry, and do not treat a door opening at another stage or failing to latch as normal without model-specific assessment.

Wash, drainage and drying results

Report retained water, detergent left in its dispenser and the affected rack separately from wet plastics. Copy the exact code rather than using a generic fault list. Leave a leaking or tripping unit unused. Follow only safe accessible filter care in its handbook; do not remove pump covers or pull a fitted dishwasher out.

Furniture panel and moving-basket access

State freestanding, fully integrated or semi-integrated fitting, width and any unusual rack mechanism. Describe a furniture panel catching or basket stuck without forcing it. Supply model/PNC so hinges and parts are not selected by appearance. A replacement's panel and plinth clearances require separate fitting review.

Safe checks and deciding your next step

For checks that do not involve dismantling the appliance, read the dishwasher safety guidance. If you are weighing up a repair and a replacement, see what affects that decision. Your exact model handbook takes precedence over general guidance.

Details to include with this request

  • Model, PNC, width and integrated format.
  • Programme stage when the door opened.
  • Code, water and wash/drying result.
  • Panel/plinth or basket-access restriction.

Identify the exact AEG model

AEG manuals use the model or product number/PNC to identify the product version. Copy these from safely accessible documents or a label; a feature name alone is not a complete product reference. AEG UK model and PNC manual finder

Copy the complete reference as printed, including any suffix. Use an accessible label or your appliance paperwork; leave built-in units, electrical covers and heavy appliances in place. If the label cannot be reached safely, explain this when you contact us.

For the manufacturer’s explanation of the feature discussed here, see AEG UK appliance support.

If you are considering a replacement

Tell us whether the new dishwasher is slimline or full width and whether it is fully integrated, semi-integrated or freestanding. Include the old and new models and any furniture-door or plinth details.

AEG dishwasher repair questions

Is an automatically opening door always broken?

No. It can be intended drying behaviour on an AirDry-equipped AEG model. The model and timing matter; unexpected dropping or latch trouble is a different concern.

What is included in the fixed repair call-out?

For a Central London service address, the standard freestanding call-out is £90 plus parts. Integrated appliances of any brand start from £120 plus parts in Central London. Outside Central London, fixed call-out charges start from £75, depending on your appliance's make and model and whether it is freestanding, integrated or another appliance type. The agreed charge covers the first visit, repair labour and any return visit needed to fit parts for the same agreed repair. There is no extra labour or repeat call-out charge for that repair. Parts are priced separately and approved before fitting.

What details help with a AEG dishwasher repair enquiry?

Explain whether water remains after a programme, cleaning is poor, the machine will not fill or a leak is visible. Tell us whether it is integrated, freestanding or slimline; do not remove the plinth or tilt the appliance to investigate a code.

AEG dishwasher i10: water supply

Model check: UK dishwasher overview; exact listed codes only.

For AEG dishwashers covered by this UK guide, i10 indicates insufficient water supply or an inlet problem. Confirm the meaning in your exact model's manual; the code alone does not identify a failed part. Send the full model reference, complete display code and when it appeared. Leave internal parts and connections alone and arrange assessment if the problem persists.

AEG dishwasher i20: drainage

AEG dishwasher i30: anti-flood indication

Model check: Integrated and freestanding dishwashers.

For AEG dishwashers covered by this UK article, i30 can indicate water collecting in the base and the anti-flood protection operating. The cause may include an internal leak; the code does not identify one failed part. Stop using a leaking appliance, do not tilt it or remove panels, and provide the full model and complete indication for assessment.

AEG dishwasher i40: water-level monitoring

Model check: AEG UK article for integrated and freestanding dishwashers; individual model/PNC confirmation required.

AEG's i40-family guidance points to a possible pressure-sensing or water-level control problem. Foam or debris can interfere with operation, so a sensor replacement should not be assumed. Note the complete code and whether water is retained for an engineer to assess.

AEG dishwasher i50: wash motor or pump

Model check: AEG UK article for integrated and freestanding dishwashers; individual model/PNC confirmation required.

AEG groups these i50-family messages as wash-motor or pump malfunction. The dishwasher may fill but fail to wash normally. Foam and debris are also considered in the manufacturer's checks. A persistent code needs professional diagnosis with the full product number.

AEG dishwasher i60: water-temperature fault

Model check: AEG UK article for integrated and freestanding dishwashers; individual model/PNC confirmation required.

AEG links this code group to water-temperature trouble, including an overly hot inlet supply, temperature sensing or the heating system. It is not a definite heater diagnosis. Tell us about poor drying, the full displayed code and whether the machine uses a hot-water connection.
