INDEPENDENT AEG REPAIR ENQUIRIES

AEG tumble dryer repairs | M25, Surrey, DA & RM

An AEG heat-pump dryer should be assessed by its programme and laundry result, not compared directly with the heat of an older vented dryer. First identify the type and PNC before considering filters or parts.

Central London freestanding call-out £90; integrated from £120; other areas from £75. Parts extra.

For a Central London service address, the standard freestanding call-out is £90 plus parts. Integrated appliances of any brand start from £120 plus parts in Central London. Outside Central London, fixed call-out charges start from £75, depending on your appliance's make and model and whether it is freestanding, integrated or another appliance type. Our office confirms the service address and applicable amount by phone before arranging your visit.

What is included, and what costs extra?

The agreed charge covers the first visit, repair labour and any return visit needed to fit parts for the same agreed repair. There is no extra labour or repeat call-out charge for that repair.

Parts are priced separately and approved before fitting. A different fault, another appliance, installation, removal or alterations require a separately agreed scope and quote.

Read the written summary

A written overview of the symptoms and next step, not a word-for-word transcript.

Damp laundry, an early stop or a drum that does not turn can have different causes. Airflow, sensing, heating, drainage or drive components may need assessment; not every drying system uses the same components.

Vented, condenser and heat-pump designs differ. Give the full model, programme and any message rather than judging the fault from temperature alone. Stop use for smoke, burning smells, unusual overheating or electrical tripping; do not open covers or work on a sealed system.

Warmth alone does not diagnose drying

AEG explains that heat-pump temperature and duration depend on programme and load conditions. Describe the dryness target, load and result already observed. Explain a cycle finishing too early separately from one that continues unusually long. A different temperature sensation alone does not identify a failed heater.

Filter and water arrangements

Say whether the dryer uses a tank or an existing drain and report any care reminder. Use only accessible maintenance permitted by the exact manual. Do not remove covers, wash an unsuitable heat exchanger or use condenser instructions for another design. Smoke, burning smell or electrical tripping means leave it unused.

Stacked machines and product identification

Give model/PNC from accessible paperwork, and tell us whether the unit is stacked, integrated or confined in a cupboard. Do not unstack it to find the plate. Mention whether the preceding washer spin changed, because very wet loads and an independent dryer fault are different observations needing assessment.

Safe checks and deciding your next step

For checks that do not involve dismantling the appliance, read the tumble dryer safety guidance. If you are weighing up a repair and a replacement, see what affects that decision. Your exact model handbook takes precedence over general guidance.

Details to include with this request

  • Model, PNC and heat-pump/condenser/vented type.
  • Programme, dryness target and end result.
  • Tank/drain and care reminder.
  • Stacking and preceding laundry spin condition.

Identify the exact AEG model

AEG manuals use the model or product number/PNC to identify the product version. Copy these from safely accessible documents or a label; a feature name alone is not a complete product reference. AEG UK model and PNC manual finder

Copy the complete reference as printed, including any suffix. Use an accessible label or your appliance paperwork; leave built-in units, electrical covers and heavy appliances in place. If the label cannot be reached safely, explain this when you contact us.

For the manufacturer’s explanation of the feature discussed here, see AEG UK appliance support.

AEG tumble dryer repair questions

Does less heat than my old dryer mean it is broken?

Not by itself. Heat-pump operation differs and AEG relates drying conditions to the programme and load. Report a persistent change in the actual result for your model.

What is included in the fixed repair call-out?

For a Central London service address, the standard freestanding call-out is £90 plus parts. Integrated appliances of any brand start from £120 plus parts in Central London. Outside Central London, fixed call-out charges start from £75, depending on your appliance's make and model and whether it is freestanding, integrated or another appliance type. Our office confirms the service address and applicable amount by phone before arranging your visit. The agreed charge covers the first visit, repair labour and any return visit needed to fit parts for the same agreed repair. There is no extra labour or repeat call-out charge for that repair. Parts are priced separately and approved before fitting.

What details help with a AEG tumble dryer repair enquiry?

Identify heat-pump, condenser or vented type from the model information. Describe long drying, an early stop, no drum movement or a warning. Follow only accessible filter and tank maintenance in the exact-model manual; do not open the heat-pump circuit.

AEG tumble dryer E50: motor or controls

Model check: AEG UK dryer support; E50/E60 articles include vented, condenser and heat-pump dryers. Match the model.

AEG identifies E50 on the dryers in this article as a motor or software problem. Report whether the drum turns and when the programme stops. A repeated E50 needs an engineer; this message does not prove that a new motor is required.

AEG tumble dryer E60: heating source

Model check: AEG UK dryer support; E50/E60 articles include vented, condenser and heat-pump dryers. Match the model.

On the AEG dryers covered by this guide, E60 indicates a problem with the heat source. Poor airflow or unsuitable ventilation can also affect drying, so wet laundry alone does not identify a failed heater. Persistent loss of heat needs a model-specific inspection.

AEG tumble dryer E70: temperature sensing

Model check: AEG UK dryer support; E50/E60 articles include vented, condenser and heat-pump dryers. Match the model.

AEG's E70 guidance identifies temperature-sensing trouble. The dryer cannot be assumed to regulate heat normally while this fault remains. Stop using it if the message persists and give the engineer the full display message and product number; internal sensor testing is not a customer check.
