INDEPENDENT AEG REPAIR ENQUIRIES

AEG microwave repairs | M25, Surrey, DA & RM

For an AEG microwave or compact combination oven, identify the mode that changed. Working grill or fan-oven functions do not establish that microwave heating is operating.

Central London freestanding call-out £90; integrated from £120; other areas from £75. Parts extra.

For a Central London service address, the standard freestanding call-out is £90 plus parts. Integrated appliances of any brand start from £120 plus parts in Central London. Outside Central London, fixed call-out charges start from £75, depending on your appliance's make and model and whether it is freestanding, integrated or another appliance type. Our office confirms the service address and applicable amount by phone before arranging your visit.

What is included, and what costs extra?

The agreed charge covers the first visit, repair labour and any return visit needed to fit parts for the same agreed repair. There is no extra labour or repeat call-out charge for that repair.

Parts are priced separately and approved before fitting. A different fault, another appliance, installation, removal or alterations require a separately agreed scope and quote.

Describe the fault, not a guessed part

Send the complete model reference, any displayed code, fitting type and full postcode. Include any suffix on the model label where shown. Only photograph a safely accessible label; do not remove covers or move a heavy machine.

Mode, power and cookware context

AEG publishes separate support for the microwave function of compact ovens. Describe microwave, grill or combination selection and the result already observed, along with model/PNC. Use only accessories allowed for that mode by the exact manual; do not run it empty or try metal cookware as a diagnostic test.

Door and sparking stop conditions

Do not keep using a microwave with sparking, burning smell or damaged door/sealing areas. Describe the event without reproducing it. Never remove the casing or alter interlocks, even after disconnecting power. Whether internal repair is suitable needs confirmation for the individual appliance.

Built-in housing versus countertop

State fitting type, cabinet position and any trim kit from accessible documents. Do not pull the unit out to find its plate. For replacement, send the proposed reference; width alone does not establish correct ventilation or housing compatibility. Installation arrangements are assessed separately from repair.

Safe checks and deciding your next step

For checks that do not involve dismantling the appliance, read the microwave safety guidance. If you are weighing up a repair and a replacement, see what affects that decision. Your exact model handbook takes precedence over general guidance.

Details to include with this request

  • Model, PNC and microwave/compact-combination type.
  • Selected mode, power and observed result.
  • Message, door condition and sparking.
  • Cabinet/trim kit and access restriction.

Identify the exact AEG model

AEG manuals use the model or product number/PNC to identify the product version. Copy these from safely accessible documents or a label; a feature name alone is not a complete product reference. AEG UK model and PNC manual finder

Copy the complete reference as printed, including any suffix. Use an accessible label or your appliance paperwork; leave built-in units, electrical covers and heavy appliances in place. If the label cannot be reached safely, explain this when you contact us.

For the manufacturer’s explanation of the feature discussed here, see AEG UK appliance support.

If you are considering a replacement

Give the complete model and say whether it is built-in, combination or countertop. Include any cabinet, trim-kit or ventilation details from the product information and describe the fitting help required.

AEG microwave repair questions

Does a working grill prove the microwave function is safe?

No. These are different functions. Report the mode-specific problem, and leave an appliance with sparking or door damage unused pending appropriate assessment.

What details help with a AEG microwave repair enquiry?

Tell us whether it is built-in, freestanding or a combination appliance and whether it starts, heats, sparks or shows a code. Stop use if it sparks, smokes or has door damage. Never remove the case: internal components can remain dangerous after unplugging.

Local repair visits: M25, Surrey, DA and RM

Our service territory includes addresses inside the M25, all Surrey and every DA and RM postcode, including DA and RM addresses outside the motorway. Coverage is not a promise of an immediate appointment: the office confirms the model, required work and visit arrangements.
