Dishwasher repairs in London & Surrey
Domestic dishwasher repairs across London, Surrey, DA and RM. Compare fault symptoms, call-out charges and integrated access before requesting a UKCDA visit.
Office hours: Monday–Saturday, 9am–7pm. Contact the team to check availability for your postcode; a visit time is agreed separately.
Read customer reviews on Checkatrade before deciding.
Before arranging a dishwasher visit, check whether your full postcode is covered. Tell us whether the machine is freestanding or integrated, and what happened during the last programme. The office checks the model, charge and availability before confirming an appointment; a coverage result does not book one.
What does the repair visit cost?
Central London freestanding call-out £90; integrated from £120; other areas from £75. Parts extra.
Samsung, LG, Miele and Smeg have separate starting rates: from £90 plus parts outside Central London, or from £120 plus parts in Central London. Integrated appliances of any brand start from £120 plus parts in Central London. The office confirms the applicable charge.
The agreed charge covers the first visit, repair labour and any return visit needed to fit parts for the same agreed repair. There is no extra labour or repeat call-out charge for that repair.
Parts are priced separately and approved before fitting. The office confirms the fixed charge for the model, fitting type and service address before arranging a visit.
After diagnosis, the agreed call-out remains payable if you decide not to proceed with the repair or the required part is unavailable.
Charges, cover and additional work
For a Central London service address, the standard freestanding call-out is £90 plus parts. Integrated appliances of any brand start from £120 plus parts in Central London. Outside Central London, fixed call-out charges start from £75, depending on your appliance's make and model and whether it is freestanding, integrated or another appliance type. Our office confirms the service address and applicable amount by phone before arranging your visit.
A different fault, another appliance, installation, removal or alterations require a separately agreed scope and quote.
If a replacement part does not resolve the fault, we do not charge you for that part. The agreed call-out still applies and is non-refundable after the diagnostic visit. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Parts-cover duration and conditions depend on the part and supplier. Ask us to confirm the cover for your repair, including any labour cover, before agreeing the work. Check any existing manufacturer or service-plan cover first; UKCDA is an independent business.

A general explanation of possible problems, not a diagnosis or instructions for dismantling your appliance. Illustrative appliance views may differ from your model.
Read the written summary
A written overview of the symptoms and next step, not a word-for-word transcript.
Poor washing, standing water, a stopped cycle and a leak are observations, not a diagnosis. Filling, circulation, heating, drainage and control arrangements vary by model, and the source of a leak may not be immediately visible.
Tell us the model, exact displayed message and symptoms. Stop using a dishwasher that leaks, smokes, smells burnt or trips the electrics, and leave internal inspection to a suitably competent engineer.
START WITH WHAT THE DISHWASHER DOES
Dishwasher problems: what is the useful next step?
Does your dishwasher stop mid-cycle, or finish with dirty or wet dishes? Describe what happened during the last normal use. You do not need to identify a faulty part or run another cycle before asking for help.
The controls light up, but the wash will not start
Check whether the door closes normally. Look up any lock symbol or setting in your handbook. Note whether dishes block the door or a furniture panel catches the plinth.
Bosch's no-start guidance covers door closure, control locks and latch faults. It cannot diagnose every model. Do not force the door or bypass its latch. Tell us whether the controls respond or a programme starts then stops.
No water enters, or water remains from the last wash
Bosch's filling guidance covers the water supply, restricted hoses and water left from the previous wash. A failure to fill does not prove the inlet valve has failed.
If safe, note whether an accessible supply tap is off or a hose already in view is kinked. Leave hidden hoses connected and the dishwasher in place. Tell us about any recent sink, waste-pipe or installation work.
Water is left after the programme
Say whether the programme finished, was interrupted or stopped with a message. Is the standing water a new problem? Include the full message and model so the right drainage guidance can be checked.
A drainage problem does not prove the pump needs replacing. Follow only the routine filter care your handbook allows without dismantling. Do not reach into the pump, remove its cover or disconnect a waste hose.
The cycle finishes, but dishes stay dirty or detergent remains
Tell us whether one basket or the whole load is affected. Describe any food residue, film or unused detergent. Bosch's cleaning guidance covers loading, blocked water spray and filter condition as possible causes.
With the machine off and cool, follow your model's normal loading and care instructions. An undissolved tablet alone does not prove the dispenser or heater has failed. Request an assessment if the problem continues despite normal use.
Clean dishes stay wet, or the wash no longer seems to heat
Wet plastic containers differ from a whole load that is newly cold or poorly washed. Bosch's drying guidance explains how materials, loading, rinse aid and drying settings affect results. It recommends an engineer if the water does not heat at all.
Record the programme, whether it finished and what changed. Check settings against your own handbook. Do not open a running dishwasher or touch the water to test its temperature.
A leak, burning smell or electrical trip needs a stop-use response
Leave the appliance unused. To isolate it, use only safely accessible dry controls. Keep clear of wet plugs, switches and wiring. Seek professional help if you cannot isolate it safely.
Note where water was already visible. Do not tilt the machine or remove the plinth. Do not keep restarting after a water-protection warning. For example, Miele's F70 instructions require stopping the dishwasher and contacting service. This advice is specific to Miele's warning; codes differ between brands.
Safe checks before requesting a dishwasher repair
- Check only normal controls, programme settings, loading and accessible care allowed by your model's handbook.
- Copy any message exactly, including flashing-light labels.
- Stop if there is a leak, burning smell, damaged wiring or electrical trip.
- Leave covers, pump parts, fitted doors and connections alone. You do not need repeated resets or test cycles to make an enquiry.
Model and fitting details that help plan the visit
- Full model and product reference. Use paperwork or a safely visible door-edge label. Include the E-Nr suffix for Bosch, NEFF or Siemens. Add the PNC for AEG, Electrolux or Zanussi if available. Find the model reference safely; leave the dishwasher in place.
- The actual fitting. Is it slimline or full-size? Freestanding, fully integrated or semi-integrated? Mention heavy furniture doors, raised worktops, plinth contact or hard-to-reach connections. Leave the panel attached.
- The last observed result. Give the programme stage and exact message. Say whether water remains and mention recent kitchen or sink work. Describe door or fitting concerns separately from the wash result.
Is repairing the dishwasher worth considering?
Your options depend on the assessment, appliance condition, suitable spare parts and your preferences. Age, standing water or a fault code alone cannot settle the decision. Check manufacturer or service-plan cover before agreeing to paid work.
If you are considering replacement, compare the model, furniture-door system, plinth clearance and connections as well as the width.
Dishwasher installation guidance explains the separate fitting enquiry. Provide the old and proposed model references. Replacement fitting, removal, plumbing alterations and cabinet changes are not automatically included in a repair visit.
Dishwasher repair questions
Can I request help without a fault code or model number?
Yes. Start with the brand, controls, fitting and what happened. Use available paperwork for the model and say if the label is hidden. A code can help. You do not need to dismantle the appliance or repeat the fault to contact the office.
Do I need an appliance engineer or a plumber?
Say whether the problem affects only the dishwasher or also the sink or water supply. Mention any recent plumbing work. The office can check the requested work before a visit. A repair enquiry does not automatically include plumbing changes or confirm that the fault is inside the machine.
Does a listed brand mean every dishwasher model is accepted?
No. Even for major brands, the office checks the full model, work required and access. Brand guidance helps identify the appliance. It does not mean manufacturer authorisation or support for every model or part. Commercial dishwashers and glasswashers are outside the current domestic service.
VISITS TO YOUR HOME OR RENTAL PROPERTY
Looking for dishwasher repair near you?

What happens after you send the enquiry?
- The office checks the details. We review the appliance, fault, address and access. A symptom alone cannot confirm a repair.
- Agree the visit and charge. We confirm the applicable fixed call-out and appointment. Check existing manufacturer or service-plan cover before arranging independent paid work.
- The assessment establishes the options. We quote any required parts for approval before fitting. First-visit completion depends on the fault and suitable parts; it is not guaranteed.
The form starts an enquiry, without taking payment or confirming a time slot. For urgent availability, call 07474 369490. Before agreeing the visit, ask about charges if repair is not possible and cover for the proposed work.
Do you repair commercial dishwashers or glasswashers?
No. We are not currently accepting commercial dishwasher or glasswasher repairs, servicing or installations. Our current service is for domestic appliances. Please use your equipment manufacturer's support or an appropriate commercial equipment specialist for commercial work.
For a domestic dishwasher at a home or rental property, our guidance explains the symptoms and model details to include. Our office checks the exact appliance, service address and appointment availability before agreeing a domestic visit.

Leave electrical covers and fitted components in place. Stop using an appliance that leaks, overheats, smells burnt or trips the electrics. UKCDA is independent; check any manufacturer guarantee before arranging a paid visit.
Can I arrange a dishwasher visit at my address?
For local dishwasher repair, check the actual service territory rather than the distance suggested by a search result. UKCDA visits domestic appliances across London, Surrey, inside the M25 and all DA and RM postcodes. Provide the full address, complete model and whether the machine is integrated or freestanding. The office checks suitability and appointment availability before booking; this page does not claim a branch in every town.
What makes up the total repair price?
Compare the call-out and any required parts, not a starting figure described as the entire repair. UKCDA confirms the applicable fixed charge by phone after checking the make, model and fitting. Parts are priced separately and approved before fitting. The charge summary on this page explains standard, Central London and premium-brand rates. A draining fault and poor washing can have different causes; neither symptom alone supplies a parts price.
