INDEPENDENT MIELE REPAIR ENQUIRIES

Miele washer dryer repairs in London & Surrey

A Miele washer dryer is one appliance performing two jobs. A failed drying stage does not necessarily mean its wash stage has failed, and laundry already wet after spinning gives a different starting point. Tell UKCDA which part of the sequence worked and which did not, using the full model rather than a general laundry range name.

Miele call-outs from £90 plus parts; Central London from £120 plus parts.

For Miele, fixed call-out charges start from £90 outside Central London and from £120 for a Central London service address. Parts are priced separately. The applicable amount depends on the appliance, complete model and fitting type, including freestanding or integrated. Our office confirms the address and fixed charge by phone before arranging the visit. These starting amounts are not an all-inclusive repair price.

What is included, and what costs extra?

The agreed charge covers the first visit, repair labour and any return visit needed to fit parts for the same agreed repair. There is no extra labour or repeat call-out charge for that repair.

Parts are priced separately and approved before fitting. A different fault, another appliance, installation, removal or alterations require a separately agreed scope and quote.

Send the complete model reference, any displayed code, fitting type and full postcode. Include any suffix on the model label where shown. Only photograph a safely accessible label; do not remove covers or move a heavy machine.

This washing-machine clip explains washing-stage symptoms only. It is not a guide to the combined washer-dryer's drying system; tell us whether the fault affects washing, drying or both. This is not a brand-specific error-code guide or a manufacturer's video.

Read the written summary

A written overview of the symptoms and next step, not a word-for-word transcript.

Water left in the drum, failure to spin, unusual noise and a stopped programme can have different causes. A symptom alone does not identify a failed component or establish that a part needs replacing.

Describe what happened during normal use, the complete model and your postcode. Stop using the appliance if there is smoke, a burning smell, a leak or electrical tripping; do not remove panels or attempt electrical repairs.

Trace the change from washing to drying

State whether you selected a continuous wash-and-dry programme or drying alone. Describe the laundry at the end of the spin, whether the drying stage began and what the machine showed when it stopped. Include the chosen drying level and approximate load. Miele's washer-dryer support distinguishes damp drying results, incomplete spin and programme cancellation; they should not be treated as interchangeable heater faults.

A Waterproof message is not a drying-level setting

Miele identifies activation of the washer-dryer's Waterproof system with water detected from an internal leak. If that message appears, stop using the appliance and tell the office the exact wording. Do not keep restarting it, tilt it or force open its door. Mention visible water and any hot, trapped laundry without attempting the emergency-release procedure simply to make the machine ready for a booking.

Make the repair request specific to the combined machine

A WT-series or other washer-dryer needs its own model instructions; guidance for a separate Miele tumble dryer may not apply. Include any detergent or fluff-related message as well as the main fault. The office checks the combined appliance and work required before agreeing attendance, then discusses whether the proposed assessment concerns washing, drying or both. Report previous repairs so the next step does not rely on an incomplete history.

Safe checks and deciding your next step

For checks that do not involve dismantling the appliance, read the washer dryer safety guidance. If you are weighing up a repair and a replacement, see what affects that decision. Your exact model handbook takes precedence over general guidance.

Details to include with this request

  • Full washer-dryer model and serial reference from accessible information.
  • Wash-and-dry or dry-only selection, drying level and approximate load.
  • Whether the preceding drain and spin completed normally.
  • Exact Waterproof or other message, visible leak and fitted access.

Identify the exact Miele model

Miele's data-plate finder explains where model and serial details can be found for the appliance type. Use accessible paperwork if the plate cannot be reached safely. Miele UK data-plate finder

Copy the complete reference as printed, including any suffix. Use an accessible label or your appliance paperwork; leave built-in units, electrical covers and heavy appliances in place. If the label cannot be reached safely, explain this when you contact us.

For the manufacturer’s explanation of the feature discussed here, see Miele UK washer-dryer troubleshooting.

If you are considering a replacement

For replacement, compare the proposed combined appliance's installation requirements and available space, not just its advertised wash capacity. Mention furniture fronts, removal and connection changes before fitting is agreed.

Miele washer dryer repair questions

Why is a washer dryer enquiry different from a tumble dryer enquiry?

The same machine washes, drains, spins and dries. Knowing which of those stages completed helps assess the fault; it also avoids applying separate-dryer instructions to an appliance with different systems.

Should I repeat drying to prove the fault?

No additional test is needed for the enquiry. Describe an ordinary cycle you already observed. In particular, leave a leaking, overheating or electrically tripping machine unused and report the concern.

What details help with a Miele washer dryer repair enquiry?

Say whether washing, draining, spinning or drying fails, and whether the appliance finishes the wash before the drying problem begins. State the load and programme used; washing and drying capacities may differ, so check the exact manual.

Should I contact Miele or UKCDA if the appliance has a guarantee?

Check your manufacturer guarantee or service-plan paperwork before agreeing an independent chargeable visit. Miele provides its own repair and support options. UKCDA is an independent repair business, not Miele's authorised service; send any previous diagnosis or parts estimate so the office can assess the requested work without assuming a manufacturer plan covers it.

Does this cover Miele Professional equipment or every specialist model?

This page concerns the supported domestic appliance category. A Miele Professional machine, a domestic appliance used commercially or a specialist installation needs a separate suitability check and is not promised by this guide. Send the complete model and describe its use, including any fitted water connection, linked appliance or access restriction. A range name alone does not confirm eligibility or parts availability.
