INDEPENDENT AEG REPAIR ENQUIRIES

AEG washing machine repairs | M25, Surrey, DA & RM

AEG washer enquiries are more precise with the PNC and a description of the programme stage. A code can identify a system to investigate, but it does not confirm a failed component or a compatible replacement part.

Central London freestanding call-out £90; integrated from £120; other areas from £75. Parts extra.

For a Central London service address, the standard freestanding call-out is £90 plus parts. Integrated appliances of any brand start from £120 plus parts in Central London. Outside Central London, fixed call-out charges start from £75, depending on your appliance's make and model and whether it is freestanding, integrated or another appliance type. Our office confirms the service address and applicable amount by phone before arranging your visit.

What is included, and what costs extra?

The agreed charge covers the first visit, repair labour and any return visit needed to fit parts for the same agreed repair. There is no extra labour or repeat call-out charge for that repair.

Parts are priced separately and approved before fitting. A different fault, another appliance, installation, removal or alterations require a separately agreed scope and quote.

Read the charging terms
Describe the fault, not a guessed part

Send the complete model reference, any displayed code, fitting type and full postcode. Include any suffix on the model label where shown. Only photograph a safely accessible label; do not remove covers or move a heavy machine.

WATCH A SHORT EXPLANATION

Washing machine problems explained

A general explanation of drainage, spinning, heating, unusual noise and leaks, and the details useful for a repair enquiry.

Press play when you are ready. English captions are available in the player controls. Open the video file if playback is unavailable.

A general explanation of possible problems, not a diagnosis or instructions for dismantling your appliance. Illustrative appliance views may differ from your model. This is not a brand-specific error-code guide or a manufacturer's video.

Read the written summary

A written overview of the symptoms and next step, not a word-for-word transcript.

Water left in the drum, failure to spin, unusual noise and a stopped programme can have different causes. A symptom alone does not identify a failed component or establish that a part needs replacing.

Describe what happened during normal use, the complete model and your postcode. Stop using the appliance if there is smoke, a burning smell, a leak or electrical tripping; do not remove panels or attempt electrical repairs.

Ready to describe the problem? Send the symptoms, full model and postcode. The team confirms suitability, availability and applicable charges.

Supply and drainage are different categories

AEG's UK error guidance groups E10-type messages with water supply and E20-type messages with drainage. Copy the full code and explain whether filling started, water remained or spinning was cancelled. Consult the article matching the model; do not turn a code into an automatic valve or pump order.

A locked door is an observation, not an instruction

Tell us whether laundry and water are trapped and whether the programme ended or stopped unexpectedly. Do not force the latch, bypass a lock or open a water-filled filter. Report recent plumbing and severe movement without moving the washer or restarting a leaking or tripping machine.

PNC identifies the product version

Send the model, product number/PNC and serial information from safely accessible paperwork or a label. Feature names alone do not identify every version. State integrated fitting, stacking and restricted access. Repair suitability and parts are checked for that reference, while installation is quoted separately.

Safe checks and deciding your next step

For checks that do not involve dismantling the appliance, read the washing machine safety guidance. If you are weighing up a repair and a replacement, see what affects that decision. Your exact model handbook takes precedence over general guidance.

Details to include with this request

  • Model, PNC and serial reference.
  • Full code and wash stage.
  • Water, door and spin outcome.
  • Stacking, fitting type and recent plumbing changes.

Identify the exact AEG model

AEG manuals use the model or product number/PNC to identify the product version. Copy these from safely accessible documents or a label; a feature name alone is not a complete product reference. AEG UK model and PNC manual finder

Copy the complete reference as printed, including any suffix. Use an accessible label or your appliance paperwork; leave built-in units, electrical covers and heavy appliances in place. If the label cannot be reached safely, explain this when you contact us.

For the manufacturer’s explanation of the feature discussed here, see AEG UK appliance support.

If you are considering a replacement

Share the new model, whether it sits behind a furniture door, and any stacked appliance above it. Mention restricted access to the existing water, waste and power connections.

AEG washing machine repair questions

Does an E20 message prove the drain pump failed?

No. It identifies a drainage concern in AEG's guidance. The full model and observed sequence are needed before deciding the cause and parts.

What is included in the fixed repair call-out?

For a Central London service address, the standard freestanding call-out is £90 plus parts. Integrated appliances of any brand start from £120 plus parts in Central London. Outside Central London, fixed call-out charges start from £75, depending on your appliance's make and model and whether it is freestanding, integrated or another appliance type. Our office confirms the service address and applicable amount by phone before arranging your visit. The agreed charge covers the first visit, repair labour and any return visit needed to fit parts for the same agreed repair. There is no extra labour or repeat call-out charge for that repair. Parts are priced separately and approved before fitting.

What details help with a AEG washing machine repair enquiry?

Report whether the machine fills, drains, turns the drum or stops before spinning. Include when the problem occurs and any code exactly as shown. Do not force a locked door or dismantle the pump.

Manufacturer error-code guidance

AEG washer E20: drainage indication

Model check: Article explicitly covers washers and washer dryers.

For AEG washing machines covered by this UK guide, E20 indicates a water-drainage problem. Confirm the meaning in your exact model's manual; the code alone does not identify a failed part. Send the full model reference, complete display code and when it appeared. Leave internal parts and connections alone and arrange assessment if the problem persists.

AEG washing machine E10: water flow

Model check: AEG UK support: washing machines and washer-dryers listed in this article; confirm the model and PNC.

AEG describes this as a water-flow warning: the machine may not be filling sufficiently, or its drainage arrangement may affect filling. It does not identify a failed inlet valve by itself. Note whether water enters and provide the model and PNC for assessment.

AEG washing machine E22: drainage

Model check: AEG UK support: washing machines and washer-dryers listed in this article; confirm the model and PNC.

AEG's guide associates these codes with water not leaving the machine correctly. Water may remain in the drum and the spin may stop. A restricted waste connection, hose or filter can produce similar symptoms to a drainage fault, so the code alone is not a pump diagnosis.

AEG washing machine E40: door recognition

Model check: AEG UK support: washing machines and washer-dryers listed in this article; confirm the model and PNC.

AEG says E40 or E41 means the door or lid is not securely closed or recognised as closed. Trapped laundry and a locking problem are possible explanations. Do not force a locked door; persistent errors despite normal closure need the model-specific lock system assessed.

Read the official AEG guidance · Book a repair assessment

AEG washing machine E50: motor operation

Model check: AEG UK support: washing machines and washer-dryers listed in this article; confirm the model and PNC.

AEG identifies E50, C9 and F9 as motor or motor-control trouble. The drum may stop turning, but the displayed code does not establish which component needs replacement. If it returns, stop using the machine and arrange a diagnostic visit with its model and PNC.

Read the official AEG guidance · Book a repair assessment

AEG washing machine E60: water heating

Model check: AEG UK support: washing machines and washer-dryers listed in this article; confirm the model and PNC.

AEG's UK laundry guide links the E60 family to a water-heating problem. A heater can be involved, but the exact cause requires testing. If the warning persists, leave the appliance switched off and provide the full code, model and product number when arranging service.
